I do find it hard to work with such a large space, but im trying,
Still i have the feeling something is missing in the bottom, maybe some darker colors????

Ik vind het hartstikke leuk om aan swaps mee te doen.
Maar dan vind ik ook dat je iets moet maken dat je zelf graag zou willen ontvangen.
Zelf zou ik dit erg leuk vinden.

Yesterday evening the sky was so pretty in pink and orange, that i made a tag inspired by those colours.

Gisterenavond was de lucht zo mooi roze en oranje dat ik deze tag daarop gemaakt heb.

De achtergrond is gemaakt met distress inkt rusty hing, wat worn lipstick en aged mahagony aan de zijkanten.

Echt heel erg leuk, ik heb met mijn kaartje een van de tinnen bewaardozen gewonnen voor distress inkt!!
Moest een kaartje opsturen, waarmee je distress inkt heb gebruikt.
Uit de 450 inzendingen heeft Tim een top 25 gekozen, en toen blind 8 gekozen..
Ben er echt blij mee!

It is super fun, i have won 1 of the distress ink storage tins.
I had to send in a card, where i used distress ink.
Off the 450 entries, Tim has choosen a top 25, en then randomly picked 8

Ik vond het zo leuk om de uitleg op mijn blog te zetten over harmony en contrast, dat ik dacht ik doe er nog een.
Nu een lesje over distress inkt, zijn er nieuwe kleuren gekomen? Ik dacht het wel!
Alleen maak je die zelf!
Zelf heb ik niet alle kleuren distress inkt, maar wel een groot deel ervan.
En zo kan je nog meer kleuren maken.
Het is hartstikke leuk om die te combineren met elkaar zodat je nieuwe kleuren krijgt.
Het makklijkste is het om te doen met de blending tool.
De lichtste kleur eerst, en dan ga je met de volgende kleur eroverheen.

It was so much fun, to put the explanation on my blog concerning harmony and contrast, I thought I do another one.
Now a little tutorial concerning distress ink, are there some new colors ? I think so! However, these colors can you make yourself!
I do not have all the colors distress ink, but i got most of them.
You can make more colors then you owe.
It is so much fun to combine these so that you get new colours.
The easiest way to do it is with the blending tool.
The lightest colour first, and then the next color on top of it.

Ik hoop dat je er wat aan hebt, of dat je het leuk vond om te zien!

Harmony and Contrast

When u use colors, you can do a harmony or a contrast.
In this picture you see some examples to use.
Wanneer je kleur gebruikt, kan je een harmonie of een contrast doen.
In deze afbeelding zie je wat voorbeelden om te gebruiken.

We start with the Harmony
We beginnen met de Harmonie

Color number 1 and 2 are matching perfectly, they are the closest to each other

Kleurnummer 1 en 2 matchen perfect met elkaar, en zijn de dichts bij elkaar liggende kleuren.

Number 3,4 and 5 is a suggestion of colors you can combine with the basic colors.

Number 3 is after the basic color, the most harmonious.

Nummer 3,4 en 5 is een suggestie voor combinaties met deze basiskleuren.

De eerste kleur na de basiskleur (nummer 3) is de meest harmonische.

Then we will go to the contrasting colors.

So inspired by the first card i made this second card.

This man is a flea market junkie, he travels to the outher corners of the world, searching for sime fine findings!

Here he found sime nice moveable fish!

As inspired by the sewing/stitching, i made some edges a little bit nicer with some iron wire.

Well as some of you know, i started this blog in februari 2010,
And then i found out challenges on the www, that is so much fun!
A lot of people have inspired me, with theyre ideas and comments.
As you can see i almost have 50 followers, and almost 2000 visitors.
So i am planning a Blog Candy...a what???? Yes a Blog Candy!
Goal is: 50 followers and 2000 visitors, then i will give the Candy away!
As im going on vacation, i put the deadline on 12 June,
Then i put all youre names in a cup and pull one out!

Zoals sommigen van jullie wel weten, ben ik deze blog in februari 2010 begonnen.
Ik ontdekte challenges op het www, en dat is echt heel leuk.
Heel veel mensen hebben me geinspireerd met hun ideeen en comments.
Zoals je kan zien heb ik bijna 50 volgers en bijna 2000 bezoekers,
Dus ga ik een Blog Candy weggeven.. een wat? Ja een blog candy.

Ive put this one up for Tuesday Taggers - Alter something

I altered a tin box, into this fish tank.
I just painted it with acrylic paint, and put crackle paint on top of it.
Cut some images out, and put them on iron wire
The water and flowers on the bottom are from an necklace, like you get in Hawai, but this is just a cheap one.

I mostly got all the stuff from a second hand shop.

Theme Thursday challenge - Girls

I saw this clock in a store, it was red, with a little black, so it looked old.
I altered it with collage sheets, ribbon, sequins, paper etc!
Im very pleased with the result, as i never make something this big..

Deze klok zag ik in een winkel, en had er gelijk ideen over.
De klok was origineel rood, met hier en daar wat zwart om het ouder te doen laten lijken.
Ik heb hem gealterd met collage sheets, linten, papier.
En uiteindelijk alles gecoat.
Je kan op de foto's kijken om het wat groter te maken!

I call it: My undersea castle.

Again I totally love it!
De background circles i made with distress ink broken china.
I stamped the circles with a lid of a glitterglue, and just stamped it in the broken china, and then on the paper.
The blue bubbles is made with a stamp from Tim holtz and some blue paint dabber.
Some grungeboard i coloured with distress ink.

I made this card for the postage challenge.
The background is made with postage stamps ;)
A vintage car, old postcard and some bingo numbers on top of it.
The corners are pieces of paper from an old book.
The 3 man are from a collage sheet from Divas D'Este
I painted it all over with decopage paint.

Paperplay Challenge
This tag i made for the Paperplay Challenge - Week 6 - Birthday to someone special.

Like i mentioned in an earlier message, that my ideas are not always the same as in the end..

This one also, i had in mind, like 3 girls together, colour red and yellow, and this turns out...completly different wright?

Well for this i used:
Background: distress ink worn lipstick, walnut stain, dusty concord.
The chicken wire is a stamp from Lost Coast wich i stamped with faded jeans.
The paper figures, i made with some dies and the cuttlebug.
The boy and all are from a collage sheet from Divas D'Este.

I used an old piece of paper, for behind the man, and used distress ink vintage photo on it.

Yesssssssssssss, i have been asked for the design team from Divas DÉste!! (You know from the collage sheets!)
And yes im proud of it!
Im only doing this for about an year, so still finding everything out!
So thats why im so proud of it!
The have super fun/cute collage sheets, off woman, mann, children, and themes as transport etc etc
